Layer Cookies with Jam (+ a blooper!)

How to make a layered butter cookie, with some jam on top - out of polymer clay. There is also a special blooper at the end of this video (actually, I had several acciddents while making this video… I was truly about to give up making a tutorial for the day, and try again some other day…) oh well :P

@Bereetha you can crumse it and use tiny amounts of sunflower oil. Try one drop first! - That’s how I do it. And when you got it soft again, store it in plastic containers with lid

aw, it’s frustrating to drop things upside-down like that - it’s happened to me more than once too! Plus I did it with that messy silicone stuff - agh, what a mess I made!
Don’t forget how much we all appreciate your tutorials! Girl, you rock!

hey, thanks! great tips! Yeah, come to think of it, I wear gray or black shirts, dark green….wow, thanks!

i always get stuff on my light colored clays but one trick i’ve learned is that don’t wear any dark colors. I was wearing a black shirt once and kept getting lint and stuff on my white clay and then I wore a white shirt and that solved the problem. I also keep a wet cloth nearby and if I get lint or stuff on my clay I wipe as much as I can off =) I have cats too so I keep tweezers nearby if I get a cat hair on there lol! i try to keep my area clean though =)

  19. written by MIMISIMI17 February 8th, 2010 at 23:01 | #19

also, how the heck do you avoid getting lint in your light colored clays? I know that might sound dumb, but I’ve tried everything1 Putting on gloves…Washing my hands five times…..

This is a wonderful tutorial. I’m assuming you paint the cookie, or “put in the jam” after it has baked?
